POSITION STATEMENT
The primary responsibility of the Service Technician will be to use his skills and experience to service POP’s and Nodes, including monitoring the air-conditioning, fire-suppression systems, diesel levels, generators & refrigeration systems. You will take responsibility to identify and repair damages within the stipulated minimum time as per SLA. You will ensure that all repairs are done to the standard as specified in SLA. You will be expected to report any civil related maintenance work to be done.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ticket Management and Preventative maintenance
- Servicing & cleaning of POP’s and Nodes inside and out
- Service, monitor and clean Aircons, Generators, Fire-suppression systems, floors (including grass maintenance on the outside). Ensure everything has been checked properly and any issues escalated
- Power up generators and refill diesel for multiple sites
- Dispatch to sites upon request.
Effective and efficient resource allocation
- Keep updated register of material used and be able to consolidate monthly and forecast future usage.
- Have knowledge of diesel, generator, aircon & refrigeration tools and the correct usage of these tools.
Administration
- Have the ability to compile reports and report on progress daily
- Ability to compile schedules and monitor progress on tickets
- Have experience in reporting on online platforms as work is being done daily
- Detailed and accurate comments on ticket activity from ticket logging to ticket completion
KPI
- Services and call outs to be done within clients Service Level Agreement requirements
- Diesel to be kept above minimum levels or refilled before depleted
- Processes and ticketing platforms to be correctly adhered to and utilized

- Training in OHS, specifically with regards to dangerous materials such as Diesel and batteries
Qualifications & EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Aircon & refrigeration Certification
- MS Office, Excel skills, Word, Email and internet
- Code 14 Driver’s License (2 years)
- Generator knowledge and experience
- PDP & Dangerous Goods Certification (Advantageous)
- Construction experience (Advantageous)
