National Performance Manager – Head Office


The National Performance Manager is responsible for improving the operational performance of the maintenance department in delivering its maintenance services. They will be required to monitor, analyse and improve all aspects of our maintenance services, reduce costs and improve efficiency in all regions to achieve our service level targets.

• Effectively communicate department expectations to team members and contractors in a timely and clear fashion
• Monitor teams and delegate tasks accordingly
• Identify and manage department dependencies
• Proactively manage changes in the department scope, ensure that any change to the scope is documented and approved
• Identify potential crises, devise contingency plans
• Adhere to operational procedures to ensure that the regional department runs smoothly
• Plan and facilitate effective department meetings,
• Effectively allocate available resources and determine if additional resources will be required
• Manage department costs: forecast vs. actual
• Develop tools and best practices for improved department management

• At least 10 years working experience of which 5 should be in a management position.
• Any of the following tertiary education studies are required: Engineering, Statistics, Management accounting or BCOM non-CA
• Excellent/Advanced excel skills are required
• Experience as a business analyst and/or dealing with large amounts of data, databases, analytical tools, including excel, will be highly advantageous
• Delivering results: the ability to plan and organise self and work to achieve objectives and targets
• Capable of training, supervising and managing staff in a fast-changing environment.
• Proven track record of delivering projects within defined timelines under high-pressure Occupational Health and Safety act
